  18. #110 I’m sharing a sad news story about a Texas dairy being forced to sell all of its milk to BIG DAIRY (Dairy Farmers of America). In addition to selling milk to the DFA, Way Back When Dairy is a Texas licensed raw milk dairy. The dairy also produces and sells low-temp pasteurized, unhomogenized milk to many Houston restaurants and markets. Low-temp pasteurized is the best form of milk legal for sale in retail stores in Texas.

  22. I had an AMAZING broccoli salad at a company BBQ so I shared my copy-cat rendition – delicious! It’s sweet enough for kids, and healthy for moms. Also a great make-ahead and a pot-luck favorite!!
Also shared a tutorial for making your own milk kefir (if anyone isn’t brave enough to try your water kefir yet!). You can save over $50 by making it yourself!!

  23. All work and no play makes for a very slow day; so we have started a blog hosting short stories and poetry, where you can just read and enjoy – or submit your own works! This is how we relax after a busy day of canning, cleaning, mayonnaise-making and lacto-fermenting!!

Every Sunday features a new short story; every Monday a new writing prompt. And, on Fridays, it’s all about poetry!

Read and enjoy, or post a few of your own ….

  27. Hi Sarah,

It’s been a while, but I wanted to blog about my progress on a Nutritional Balancing program I am using to heal my adrenal burnout. Healing is a long process and I wanted to remind people of that and give some encouragement, at the same time, keeping it real!
