How to make a slice of avocado toast in one minute for breakfast or a snack with a balanced macronutrient profile and a pinch of spices to enhance energy and alertness.easy slice of avocado toast on a white plate

One of my children eats avocado toast for breakfast almost every day. I thought I would share the recipe since it is such a simple and nourishing breakfast with a good balance of macronutrients including plenty of concentration boosting fats.

Most days, she makes it herself. Sometimes, if she is pressed for time getting out the door for school, I will make it for her. It typically takes about a minute or two to make one slice.

If you love avocados, you’ll have to try it yourself.

Of course, the type of bread you use is very important to the nutrition of this dish. I buy sourdough bread from a family bakery that delivers freshly baked loaves right to your door! Several options are available including:

  1. Whole wheat sourdough
  2. Multi-grain sourdough
  3. Oat sourdough
  4. Rye sourdough
  5. Spelt sourdough
  6. Sprouted sourdough (my personal favorite)

Whatever brand you choose, just be sure the bread you use to make avocado toast is an authentic sourdough to ensure maximum nutrition and ease of digestibility.

    Hello,
That’s the same that I make for my children, too. I didn’t think about the collagen. Thank you, Sarah!
