The Milk Cure 10-Day Fast (Day 6)

Guys Who Channel Tarzan Love Raw Milk

Day 6 of The Milk Cure has come and gone. What are your observations?  It seems we have at least 50-100 folks participating from the regular comment updates with more joining in every day.

Hey CDC – what’s up with all these people drinking nothing but raw milk from these various small farms across the world and not getting food poisoning?

Some of the participants have made the personal decision to join in despite being immune-compromised as well.   If raw milk is as dangerous as you say, at least a few of us should be hospitalized by now with E. coli O157.

Could it be (gasp), that raw milk is actually an extremely safe food?   No worries, though.  I’m sure you can easily figure out a way to spin it to the advantage of your Sugar Daddies (Big Food and Big Pharma) which guarantee you a nice cushy, six figure consulting job when your government gig is up.

Lucky for you most people are so drugged up on prescription meds that they can’t think straight anyway.

Paula:  Hmmm, slept ok but awakened very early and could not get back to sleep.  Had a hectic weekend trying to play catch up with all the remedial computer issues still pending.  It’s a shame you can’t shoot them!  Anyway, did finally get to have a nice hot salts bath.  Soaked for about an hour.  For the first time since starting the fast I was “slightly irritable” and tired yesterday and it continues this morning.

Had a good workout at noon and a very enjoyable milk lunch with Sarah in the sunshine.  Felt much better the rest of the day but was pretty fatigued and experienced chills and overall joint achiness right before going to bed.  I cannot remember the last time I was chilled unless it related to cold weather.  Consumed 14 cups and weighed in at 117.6.

Richard:  Worked a full day and had good energy.   Drank 5-6 cups of milk throughout the day.   It feels like I could go on like this for weeks with no problem.

Have little to no hunger with all detox symptoms gone at least for the moment.  Am really glad I am doing this.  What a great seasonal cleanse that helps gently heal the body and preserve health with little to no stress and strain.

Sarah:  Woke up sneezing about 6 am and the sneezing continued off and on until about lunchtime.  I don’t ever remember sneezing so much in such a short period of time.   Figured it must be another method of detoxing so just kept sneezing and kept a hankie handy at all times!

Felt great all day with good energy.  Have settled on a gallon of milk per day and this seems to work well as long as I finish drinking by 7pm and then I don’t get up at night to use the bathroom from drinking so many liquids.

Sat out in the sun at lunchtime with Paula to celebrate the halfway point of the fast.   We laughed and drank our raw milk and had a great time.

Not feeling hungry and everything except for the sneezing is normal.   Really starting to want to eat again though.  I am looking forward to being done in the next few days!

Day 3 for me. I was going to do my 30 min of power yoga first thing this morning, but I felt weak and had a slight fever so took a baking soda/epsom salt bath instead–drank my lemon water and then milk. It’s noon here now, and I feel great so I’m going to do my yoga session now. http://www.wisdomofyourbody.blogspot.com

Today is day 7 for me, not hungry and forcing myself to drink milk today. Last night we were invited to dinner at a friends house. I explained that I would come but not eat due to the ‘fast’. I sat while everyone ate dinner. I enjoyed everyone’s company and the only thing that I really wanted on the table was the gravy. I could have drank it out of the dish. 🙂
Beautiful sunny day today and hoping to go out with the dog after another epsom salt soak.
No weight loss to speak of yesterday. So far I’m down 12 pounds total. Interested to see if I can eat an apple at the end of the fast. That will tell me if it has helped my IC. Which was the reason I started this in the beginning.
    Blessings to all

I am on Day 3 of the milk fast, am only drinking 5-6 cups a day because I am not hungry, and have lost 5.5 pounds already! I don’t feel any signs of detoxing however, and wonder if I am just not drinking enough to help my body cleanse itself. What do you think?

When drinking milk or eating dairy products in general, how do you know if the stuffy nose and congestion is from allergies or detox?

When my daughter eats/drinks dairy, she gets congested, and gets “bumps” on her arms and legs (I forget what they are called, but they get a little ‘whitehead’ and make a small sore if you pick them). When she stopped dairy, the bumps and congestion went away. I was able to get raw milk, cream, and buttermilk last Thanksgiving (visited friends that can get them). They really bothered her.

I am also going to do the Raw Milk Cure, but am on the master cleanse right now (day 4) and want to 10 days of it before I start the milk fast. I see the Raw Milk Cure as being a continuation of my detox, but also a building phase since it is referred to as “white blood”. I don’t even drink milk, but reading all about this has gotten me very interested in trying this. I can’t wait to get started drinking the milk! Since I don’t drink milk, I am a little worried I won’t like it enough to last on this, but I am planning on giving it my best shot, so we shall see.

Feeling good today. Thinking about food. It is cold here in WA and not the right time to do a spring fast though the dandelions are starting to come up and I am going to make a big pot of them when this fast is over. They are a great way to facilitate spring detox. I’m going to heat milk slightly today cause it is still cool when left on the counter. I have a damp /cold constitution and need warmth anyhow. Sun on the belly sounds so wonderful! I am using a hot water bottle on mine right now :). Mind is clear and energy is gooDd. Want bone broth. Gonna try to complete the 10 days. I have found in
The History of Calomel as Medicine in America New drugs present greater hazards as well as greater potential benefits than ever before–for they are widely used, they are often very potent, and they are promoted by aggressive sales campaigns that may…
the past that all fasts are different and if your body tells you to stop, listen. Making it so far but looking forward to eating so warm nutrient dense soup to help with the feeling of being cold :). Love reading all these posts and observations. Thank you Sarah and Paula for the inspiration and the solidarity with raw dairy farmers. That is really why I am doing this fast out of season 🙂

We just started our milk fast today. So far, it’s a cleanser for me. Not sure what the update is about the rest of my family… 🙂 When my son was born, he was given the hep-b vaccine and the only one he as ever received (without my permission I might add) and so he will be drinking the raw milk as well… I’m excited to see what happens.

I am so excited to see the surprise at the end of this fast…real FOOD! I’m getting out my brisket to corn for St. Paddy’s day. One of my favorite meals. I haven’t had any problems on this fast. The first one I’ve ever done. Never lasted my than one day. This is great. I feel great. I like to read how others are doing. This is easier knowing so many are doing it together.

My Day 5 – I had another energetic day. I have found that I have no problem staying on my regular crossfit workout schedule. I had one cup of the microwave yogurt I made, which turned out great, my first time making yogurt. My total was 2 quarts again including the yogurt. Last night was the first I’d felt a bit skinnier. I felt a bit chilled yesterday, needing blankets and turning up the heat, but I’m sure it was our frozen cold snap here in WA. I am one of those that is perfectly satisfied with my milk, and still considering extending the fast until reaching my goal weight of losing about 10 pounds.
