Sweeteners

Refined sugar is in nearly all processed foods in our modern culture. Even organic bacon usually contains sweeteners of some kind.

Deciding to get off the sugar train requires patience and dedication. It also helps to have in-depth knowledge of the various alternative and natural sweetener options.

Even more challenging, food manufacturers are constantly releasing new choices. Heavy marketing and slick advertising makes the process confusing even for avid label readers!

A good rule of thumb to go by is this.  Just because a sweetener is natural doesn’t mean it’s safe.

If you are considering a particular sweetener to use in your home, one of the articles below can hopefully shed some light on that particular option. Knowing the pros and cons of each sweetener makes clear and informed decisions a snap!
