Preemie Dies After 9 Vax in One Day

by Sarah TheHealthyHomeEconomist January 20, 2012

If you’ve ever doubted whether many pediatricians are really just drug reps wearing white coats, you won’t anymore after reading this story.

Baby Stacy and her twin sister Lesly were born one month premature by C-Section.  Stacy needed to be resuscitated after birth and she and her sister spent four days in an incubator.

Stacy’s parents, who live in Belgium, decided to follow the advice of their doctor in December 2011 and have the babies vaccinated at 8 weeks old.  Both babies were living at home by that time and were doing well.

On the day of the vaccinations, Stacy had a cold and was not feeling well.   Stacy’s parents were told not to worry and that vaccinating a sick child would be safe.  There is also a history of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and allergies in the family, but it is not clear whether the doctor even bothered to ask about this.

Shockingly, both twins received Rotarix, a shot to prevent severe gastroenteritis, Prevnar, a dual vaccination for meningitis and pneumonia, as well as Infanrix Hexa, a SIX IN ONE jab containing diptheria, tentanus, polio, pertussis, hep B, and Haemophilus type B – all in a single day!

Stacy became unwell one week after receiving these shots with a fever of 103.8F.  The parents decided to reduce the fever with Perdolan.   As Stacy continued to not do well, the parents took her to the hospital.

At the hospital, Stacy was diagnosed with a blood and chest infection but her parents were told it was not serious.   Stacy was given medication and put on a drip feed and remained in the hospital for observation.

Stacy’s father was told that the vaccines had nothing to do with Stacy’s illness and all attempts to link the two events were strongly denied.

The pediatrician told Stacy’s parents that she was fine and probably just suffering from gastroenteritis, which she was already vaccinated against.

During the night, Stacy began to suffer from very abnormal diarrhea, but the nurse refused to change Stacy when her frightened and very upset parents asked her to do so.  Even after Stacy became very restless and obviously struggling, the nurse refused to take any action.

Stacy also developed a rash and began having difficulty breathing which Stacy’s father reported to the nursing staff as the parents refused to leave her bedside.  After that, a doctor requested authorization to do a lumbar puncture and put Stacy on an antibiotic (Ampire).

The request was denied and Stacy died a short time later.

Cause of death was recorded as meningitis, again, an illness she was vaccinated against.

Stacy’s outraged parents have asked that today, January 20, 2012 be marked as a day to remember all children that have died or been injured by vaccination.   There are local events being held around the world, but if there isn’t one on your area, please say a prayer or have a moment of silence for these children, innocent victims of one of the most successful profiteering schemes in the history of the world.

Infant Vaccine Deaths Increasing Around the World

In May 2011, this blog reported on the explosive study published by the Journal of Human and Experimental Toxicology that found that countries with the highest number of recommended vaccines in the first year of life correspondingly have the highest infant mortality rates.

Vaccine deaths are indeed increasing around the world as the vaccination schedule becomes more and more packed with required shots.  The Times of India reported in May 2010 that 128 deaths had occurred in the previous year, with the number rising with each successive year.  The Times suggested a government cover-up with a doctor interviewed for the article stating that just because vaccines aren’t contaminated doesn’t mean they can’t in fact cause death.

Japan suspended the pneumococcal and Hib vaccines after 4 deaths occurred, but in the United States, 2000 related deaths occurred and yet this news received barely any media coverage whatsoever.

Possibly the most damning evidence yet that the multi-vax approach has devastating impact upon the developing child’s brain was published in the Journal of Pediatrics.   Known as the Pourcyrous study after the lead author and widely respected worldwide, the study found that abnormal inflammation and infection markers in the blood (C-reative protein or CRP) rise in 85% of infants who receive multiple vaccines and 70% of those receiving single dose jabs.

Abnormal CRP markers in infants receiving multiple vaccines are strongly associated with severe bleeding on the brain (intraventricular hemorrhage)!

Further, 16% of infants experience a cardiorespiratory event associated with the vaccination within 48 hours of immunization.  Infants experiencing such cardiorespiratory events from vaccination are also likely to experience gastroesophogeal reflux as well.

It is my hope that by sharing baby Stacy’s tragic story on her global day of remembrance that anyone reading this post will make the firm decision to refuse any and all vaccination of their baby.  Please get the facts.  Vaccination kills babies.

    • I wanted to ask if anyone has heard of Dr. Blaylock or Dr. Horowitz and what they say on vaccines.

I do believe in Eugenics being played out in vaccinations.

There are many ways to help our bodies fight off diseases through nutrition, prevention, limiting our exposure to toxins or cleansing our bodies from them, herbs, essential oils etc.

I use all this and prayer when we are ill. My own preemie baby has gastroenteritis right now as I type this. She’s doing well and almost over it. But I have done some alternative methods to treat my family & myself.

As soon as I can I am going to home school my children again with virtual school. My new state has a rule about being in public school a year here first before I can enroll them.

This will also help as schools force sick children to intermingle.

I pray for Stacy’s poor family & any that have lost their children :-(

  1. Thank you Sarah for bringing this story to your blog. I am so sad to hear of the horrible outcome for the family. After seeing similar topics you had posted previously, I have done my homework and will no longer subject my children or myself to anymore vaccinations!

  2. What a heart wrenching story.
I am so glad that my grandaughter’s doc, who has been with us for generations, (having delivered her daddy, too) has an enlightened approach to vax. Although in Canada it is nigh-on impossible to avoid them altogether, he at least does the least number legally possible, as late as possible, and never, ever if a child is even slightly under the weather.
Thank-you Sarah, for educating so many parents. You are, no doubt, saving lives. Bless your heart.

Which I did for my 4 year old before she started school this past fall. However, the curious thing is that the health unit (where all the vaccination records are sent from the school) hasn’t asked me for the form!! So, I have not submitted it as of yet and will not until asked. I don’t need my name on a ‘watchlist’ unless absolutely necessary! It’s just funny how, on their website, they take a very strict stance, but in actuality, no one is even following up.

        • Candice….it’s a FOREIGN molecular that the body recognizes as foreign and potentially harmful so the vaccine triggers the immune system to produce antibody. Many vaccines will also include adjuvants such as aluminum to stimulant the immune system to respond to the antigen. There is a documentary film “The Greater Good” which talks about the dangers of adjuvants in vaccines. The drug makers and government will NOT respond to the questions about the dangers of adjuvants. Their only statement is that it costs too much to do studies on the safety of adjuvants. Sounds like another spin since we know drug makers make a lot of money.

Look up all the cases of mumps in the US that vaccinated people have gotten. Amy Paul, I doubt you’ll find real research because what company would pay for this research? None it wouldn’t make anyone any money.

Everyone has individual body chemistry and susceptibility and this changes as kids grow, experience stresses, etc. There’s not even a way to study this. They only say it to cover their behinds and keep parents whose children come down with illnesses for which they have been vaccinated from asking questions.

Not to mention the thousands of studies that have been performed and back up the scientific claims. Whereas those of you who blindly spout that it is a great cover up and that all vaccines kill have ZERO proof to back up your claims. The closest thing that you had to proof turned out to be a great big lie and yet people still want to believe it even though the guy was arrested and confessed to lying in his test results. Remember this phrase…correlation does not equal causation.

  4. How could the parents of a baby having a blood and chest infection be told it’s not serious??!! This makes me so, so angry… How absolutely heartbreaking for this family. And the poor baby: vaccines, then drugs, then hospital… how very awful.
Yet one more reason I’m so very happy to be a mom of 2 healthy unvaccinated boys. Please inform yourself before subjecting your children to more jabs!! It’s okay to wait/delay vaccines while you research. I did and now I’m glad.

  5. How sad. Another life lost in the name of the almighty profit machine being run by Big Pharma and all the brainwashed sheeple who follow them. Vaccines are not magical, viruses are cyclical, and your immune system (and rest of your health) can become permanently damaged by a jab. You would think commonsense would tell someone 9 vaccines in one day are way too much.

    • Big Pharma is demonized just like the oil companies, yet the percentage of their profits are no greater than any other industry. The fact is, many of us live better lives today because of the pharmaceutical industry. Cystic fibrosis patients are now living into their late 40s and even early 50′s instead of dying in their 20′s. Multiple sclerosis patients like my mother have a better quality of life. Organ transplant patients are extending the boundaries of their lifespans thanks to careful monitoring of their medications. AIDS patients are living longer. Cancer patients have more hope.

Pharmaceutical companies partner up with universities to explore new treatments and medications. They employ the best and the brightest of students, who get paid very well and have good benefits. Pharmaceutical companies are in the portfolios of many retirement funds. You may well be bashing something that is funding your retirement.

  6. So Very Very Sad. I am so happy that we decided early on (before the kids were born!) that we would be a vaccine free family. I see my nieces and nephews suffering severe allergies (one niece will go into anaphylaxis if she even stands close to a peanut), “unexplained” seziures. They are sick all the time and are constantly at the doctors getting another round of antibiotics.
Our boys are unvac’d, nursed/received breastmilk as long as possible, recieve as healthy of a diet as I can get in them and I can count on one had the times they have been sick.

Thanks Sarah for keeping this information flowing as tragic as it is maybe more people will stop blindly trusting anyone in a white coat.

      • Trevor, you’re kidding, right? Pick up the Wall Street Journal or any other financial publication and you could check out the earnings for these Big Pharmas. It used to be that vaccines were only recommended to seniors. Now it’s recommended to everyone of all ages. Heck, you could now walk into your neighborhood Walgreen or CVS drug store and get a flu shot. Ask your parents if they were vaccinated for the flu when they were teenagers. They were not. More than 50% of advertisements on television is for drugs now. I don’t remember all these ads 10 years ago. Do you? Ask your co-workers, friends and families who are over 55 years old if they are taking daily meds? More than 25% will say yes. My son who is 28 years old had fewer than 12 vaccination shots before the age of 18. The average newborn now gets 50-60 vaccination shots before the age of 18 in California. All of these stats are easy enough for your to verify. Even if you just read your local newspaper, you must know that 1 in 150 kids now have autism? It used to be 1 in 10,000 kids had autism not more than 30 years ago. This is all mainstream news provided by mainstream medical establishment.

        Reply
        • @Cana…there has been no link between vaccines and autism. Correlation does not equal causation. You realize that we have better tests now than 30 years ago, and that there are significantly more classifications of autism then there were before? And frankly…there is a risk in giving vaccinations…but there is a greater risk of certain illnesses coming back and wiping out greater numbers of children. Maybe we should just go back to the way it was 200 years ago…sure, life expectancy was probably half of what it is today, but nobody seemed to have the problems that we have today and today we have vaccinations!! The problems must be caused by the vaccinations!

I’m not saying go out and give a premature baby the same amounts of vaccinations that a full term baby would receive, but simply saying that all vaccines kill, or cause autism, etc is simply an unsupported and ridiculous claim that is probably more dangerous in the long run than any vaccination.

          Reply
          • Actually, read the book ‘Pox’. Death has *always* been a somewhat rare but existant consequence of vaccination. The vaccine safety movement did not *start* with Wakefield. At all. There have been families of Vax injury victims speaking out, lobbying Congress etc for @ least 100 years.

Just read your package insert. It will tell you what can happen. Rheumatoid arthritis after MMR in women: it’s in there. Multiple organ failure after Yellow Fever? It’s in there. DTaP encephalitic Rx: it’s in there! Autism is a strawman. All vaccine reactions are NOT coincidences & the manufacturers & regulators are aware of this: why aren’t you?

          • Since you are worried about a “greater risk of certain illnesses coming back and wiping out greater numbers of children” you might like to look at these charts:
            http://genesgreenbook.com/content/proof-vaccines-didnt-save-us

Sometimes the introduction of a vaccine makes the disease, which has run its course and died out, come back with a vengeance. Read about one incident here:
            http://www.rense.com/general87/indu.htm

That’s the stuff you should be afraid of.

          • @Dan….I never said all vaccines kill or cause autism. Furthermore, I vaccinated my son when he was child. Yes, there is a decrease of polio, measles, mumps, etc but we have an increase of autism, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s and tons of autoimmune illnesses. Many of these vaccines have aluminum in them and Alzheimer’s patients have an inordinate amount of aluminum in their brain. Here are two links about the danger of aluminum in vaccines.

          • You are aware that the study “disproving” the connection bewteen autism and vaccines was fixed and is being demanded to be retracted right? I mean just alone considering that PhRMA pays the FDA millions of dollars to quickly pass whatever drug they are ready to get on the market loses my trust in everyone right there. You know what I know? I know several children and family members that have been damaged and almost killed by vaccines; on the other hand, I know several families that don’t vaccinate (including my son) and we are all 110% times healthier. There’s my study, and I can believe it because there is no money behind it. Also, you can request the info from the gvt themselves if you’d like to see at what point in history all these illnesses declined. You need to do some unbiased researching my friend! You may be shocked.

    • Big Pharma does not make billions off of vaccines, many companies have pulled out of the vaccine business so they don’t have to deal with lawsuits.
Vaccines have increased as technology has increased. Previously infants would just get diarrhea and survive, or not. Now we can test them for the DNA or RNA of rotavirus, enterovirus (which also causes menigitis) etc.
Autism has increased because the classifications changed. Kids that used to be classified as “retarded” are now “autistic”. Autism is a spectrum of conditions. For more on autism, read up on Temple Grandin’s website. She is a high functioning autistic with “GASP” autistic children. Hereditary? Environmental? Combination of both?

      Reply
      • Au contraire. In fact, pharmaceutical companies are EXEMPT from lawsuits regarding the damage their products cause, no matter how many children are damaged or killed. Parents have to try their luck, not before a jury of their peers, but before the “special masters” of a federal Vaccine Court. Also, pharma companies are in a bad spot right now. A number of the biggest moneymaking drugs are going off-patent in the next few years, and they don’t have any new “blockbuster” drugs in the pipeline. So they are trying to make up their bottom lnies but getting more vaccines approved and, most importantly, legally mandated. Why was Rick Perry’s presidential campaign s fizzle? He was done the first time he had to answer a debate question about his attempt to mandate the Gardisil vaccine for Texas girls…and the pharma cash he took in in return. NOBODY is testing infants’ blood for virus DNA or RNA prior to vaccinating. They just jab ‘em and write the consequences off as being “for the good of society” (Gag!)

Cases like this make me angry, and what absolutely drives me crazy that American Academy of Pediatrics claims that vaccines are absolutely safe while being sponsored by Big Pharma. The one organization that is supposed to protect the health of our precious babies is killing and damaging them instead.
I spent countless sleepless nights trying to decide whether to vaccinate my now 9 months old son and I am so glad that I did not. Even though our ped think that vaccines are safe (she absolutely great otherwise), she respects my decision to not vaccinate.

  12. I really appreciate this email and information but I think the claims (at least from the information provided here) are not totally substantiated. It is mentioned that countries with higher numbers of recommended vaccines in the first year also have higher infant mortality rates. This is a correlation and does not equal causation. It is very important not to confuse the two. Women who have breast implants are more likely to commit suicide but that doesn’t mean that breast implants CAUSE suicide. There are many other factors at play both in that scenario and in any scenario regarding vaccines. Other studies talked about here mention “associations.” You cannot prove causation with correlations and associations. It’s just not scientific. I was very thankful to read this article and when it comes time to make decisions about vaccines I will definitely be doing my research but I disagree with ending the article with “Vaccinations kill babies.” when most of the evidence provided relies on correlation. Even the death of Stacy, as horribly tragic as it was, was not proven to be the result of the vaccinations she had received. Do I believe that medical professional sometimes/often have a hidden agenda? Yes. Do I believe they all do? No. We need to have solid, scientific information on which to base our decisions. I don’t know what to think about vaccines, but this felt more like a scare tactic than an informational article. On the other hand, I’m sure you can’t get into all the other research that is out there and I know you expect your readers to use this site as a supplement to their own research. Overall I am happy to have read this; it will definitely motivate me to do my own research on vaccines. Respectfully, Andrea

      • Yes, but that is with the multi-vax method. That doesn’t say anything about vaccines in general, just when several are given at once (which should be an obvious no-no anyway). Also, according to your post, the study doesn’t say 85% of babies who receive multiple vax suffer from bleeding in the brain, it says that 85% have a rise in CPRs which is ASSOCIATED with bleeding in the brain. It’s irresponsible to say that something is causing something when it is only associated with it. For some people, an association may be enough of a factor to chose not to vaccinate which is totally fine, but they need to know what the difference between association and causation is. What about all the babies that have been vaccinated that haven’t died? How can you make a blanket statement like “Vaccination kills babies” when obviously that is not scientifically proven or anecdotally experienced?

        Reply
        • Did you read the actual Journal Article mentioned? We actually know the difference between correlation & causation. Please. You aren’t the only one on Earth that ever took statistics. The ‘Vaccine Book’ by Dr Sears is some good reading but in the meantime, don’t assume everyone who has a perspective you don’t agree with is a CountryFried Rube.

The Precautionary Principle states that Chemicals or Interventions on a *healthy person* need to be treated as ‘guilty until proven innocent’. In the US we love Pharm so much it is ‘innocent until we can’t possibly hold our position anymore’ & ‘Deny, deny, gag order, deny’

Look into the scientific methods used to develop & test vaxes vs. the methods used to develop & test oral meds & see what you think of the huge differences.

I actually didn’t even mention my own perspective, just that there is not enough evidence in this article to justify the sweeping, scare-tactic statements. Your rudeness certainly doesn’t further your perspective.

      • I do agree that vaccinations are dangerous, but again, be careful of how you quote studies. The Pourcyrous study found that 85% of PREMATURE babies (<35 weeks) suffered brain bleeding. You can't expand that out to babies in general. Might vaccines do the same in all babies? Maybe, but you haven't cited a study that says that.

My unvaccinated son grows well and has a great disposition. My vaccinated son is very small for his age and has hyperactivity issues. I can’t say for certain that my older son would be a normal sized 6 year old if he hadn’t gotten the vaccines or less hyper. But I do wonder. At the very least, I think vaccines should be given one at a time and spaced months apart. I also think the vaccines need to be perservative, heavy metal and chemically free. I have thought about giving my unvaccinated son his shots before he starts school but haven’t done so thus far.

I’m hoping my second baby will grow better not because he/she will be unvaccinated but because overall my diet is better, and there is less toxin load being dumped into the fetus (from amalgams, vaccines I received as a child, etc.).

    • That’s how vaccines were given when I was a kid. I have my records, and I was given one vaccine at a time spaced at least 6 weeks apart. I think vaccines have gotten worse since I was a kid 45 years ago. Twenty years ago, I was told I had to get the MMR vaccine in order to attend graduate school, even though I had been vaccinated against measels, rubella, and I had mumps in grade school. I didn’t know the risks at the time and I didn’t know I could refuse the shot on philosophical beliefs. I believe the MMR vaccine screwed up my gut. You can regularly see bumps on my abdomen too (from the measels vaccine in MMR; it’s a live vaccine). Kinda spooky. I never made this association until my acupuncturist told me his vaccinated son has the same thing, and his unvaccinated son does not.

I never understood why newborns are given HepB? When are babies going to be shooting up drugs or having sex any time soon?

      Reply
      • The answer to why give baby hep B vaccine is:
Because we have a large number of persons who have come from countries where hep B is widespread and and many persons from those places can be carriers of the virus while appearing asymptomatic.

Hep B can be transmitted more easily than hep C that needs to be directly more transmitted by blood into flowing blood. Hep B can potentially be transmitted by other body fluids that contact a more permeable membrane (saliva drops to eye!?) or just an open sore. Your child can contact hep B at a creche with children with parents from those countries.

It used to be only a possibility for children to contract it from lengthy hospital stays and it used to be common in severely disabled children with long hospital stays who were also institutionalized.Kids mainstream kids didn’t mix with then.
Babies from former or current drug addicted mothers are still a risk of transmitting it to your child. In the past there were a lot less drug problem parents than now. This group are though over a little time likely to get diagnosed and dealt with at least.

There are many diseases refugee children and parents have been exposed to that are known to be in their populations and its still a distance from getting these all diagnosed and treated. That’s why hep B is out for babies as it’s a potentially hard to cure long term dangerous disease. Other diseases and parasite ones are variable in contagiousness or more treatable. Governments don’t want us avoiding our new residents, as it it wouldn’t be nice to, so just offer the vaccine for hep B.

You are right about in the past it was for teens starting to enter a wider and even riskier world.
I guess Government health departments in not saying why may mean some parents may not get the hep B for their child.

If your baby or children go to public mixed ethnic creches and schools you’d want the hep B. Though not like among a 5 shot crazy deal that made my grandson very ill.

  14. This is a heartbreaking story. It’s terrible that our medical professionals have our children’s lives in their hands. I appreciated your article here, I have two boys who are not vaccinated, and my other children will follow suit as I have them. I don’t believe that vaccinations are the most horrible thing in the world, per se. It is the fact that they are so dangerous because of what they contain and how they are administered so young and so many at one time. It is time we stand up for ourselves, and make others aware who are willing to hear the truth.

A couple hours after the vaccines she became listless and unresponsive. The rushed her to the ER and she died shortly thereafter from swelling to her brain. It was too late to stop it, they could not relieve it in time; there was nothing to be done. If I had had any doubt about it before that would have clinched it for me! This is so sad! I am just horrified by the lack of real information surrounding “informed consent” for vaccinations!

Let’s wait until they are at least a year old so that we know their immune system is fully developed before their immune system is subjected to the first vaccine. Let do single dose and space each vaccine 6 months apart. And let’s tests each vaccines for their effectiveness too. There is a new study (can be located on CDC) that the flu vaccines is only 16% effective. I think just getting enough Vitamin D is better than the flu vaccines.

I’ve been more pro vaccination while knowing there are problems in areas with them, but not like 5 shots or more at once. This topic has confirmed our concerns, so no more multiple shots for my grandson.

The doctors are admitting that my grandson’s 5 shots in one day is in the end the most likely cause of his hospitalization changing their minds on asthma and virus. Common sense can tell as much as findings.Findings aren’t always an exact or complete picture of all factors involved in deaths.
Have the curtsey to trust observations of a parent close to their child when they are plausible and not nit pick. Her overall message is sensible. Whatever was found afterwards can be the result of too many shots creating an an immune compromised baby to then succumb to bacteria.

Once a preemie is Always a preemie!
Once a baby is born a preemie does not end the susceptibilities they have if they make it past their due date. There are even structural deficits, metabolism differences etc.affecting them in later life regardless of apparent surface progress. Especially there had been extra limits in the stresses of having a shared twin environment.

Those who want to seem as if they are forming views in rational concrete sciences ought to then do far more extensive research of research done, it’s reviews and methodology.

Obviously I’ve covered a lot more, but am humble enough to look at life , use some common sense and discernment of parental views by what they experienced. Until now didn’t bother noting that feature.

    • Agree with you Donald. The babies were NOT prem when vaccinated but 8 weeks old so 4 weeks past there expected date. Also, the parents returned with Stacy a week after the vaccination. A lot may happen in a week to cause an illness but when the writer of an article is anti vaccine then obviously the vaccines were the cause and nothing else at all possible. You cry for people to do some research…..maybe the research needs to start with the writer.
Don’t forget that the neonatal staff were smart enough to get Stacy and Lesly well enough to be discharged yet somehow you subscribe to a conspiracy that would see these same staff have a disregard for their health.

      • I have to agree with both you Donald and you Trevor.
There are no clear cut studies from reputable sources (and yes I did read the ones you cited) to prove that there is a causation between vaccinations and health death or autism in children. Again correlations and associations do not lead to facts.
What I do know is that measles and croop CAN kill children and having an unvaccinated child walking around, possibly carrying and passing these diseases to the immunosuppressed is irresponsible of the parent.

        • There is no vaccination against croup. And it is generally even less serious than measles generally is. My non-vaxxed 3 year-old woke up with croup one night last summer. A big dose of vitamin C and vitamin D after a few drops of rescue remedy, and a night sleeping sitting on the couch with Daddy, a day of feeling a little punky, and then he was fine.

          • Guy’s there is no vaccination against croup. Except for a very, very, small percentage of cases, croup is not dangerous. Most of the time you doctor will tell you to go home and use a humidifier, nothing else. So Heather, you did what doctors would tell you to do in the majority of cases. No surprise here.

However, Lorie is correct in that there are rare cases where croup can kill a child. So how many parents are equipped to tell if their child’s hemoglobin is carrying enough O2 to properly oxygenate a baby’s body enough to keep it alive? Does the average parent have that ability? Are you willing to bet a babies life on it?

  17. My cousin’s premature baby died the day after getting vaccinated. The baby was fine beforehand, but the mom was still very hesitant about the vaccines, since her baby was premature and only 2 mo. old. The doctor of course reassured her that the vaccines were perfectly safe. They aren’t! I don’t vaccinate my kids. I feed them fermented cod liver oil with high vitamin butter oil instead, and they don’t get sick!

  18. Sorry to be the lone dissenter here, but no one can really say if the vaccines had anything to do with this baby’s illness. It’s actually pretty unlikely–just because event B followed event A doesn’t mean that A caused B. Also, remember that “gastroenteritis” isn’t a virus or a bacteria, it’s just a word used to describe the symptoms caused by specific bacteria or viruses such as salmonella, norovirus, rotavirus (which is probably what she was vaccinated for). Just because she was vaccinated against one of those viruses doesn’t mean she couldn’t get gastroenteritis from a different bug. Same goes for meningitis; it can be viral or bacterial and a single vaccine doesn’t protect against all forms. It sounds to me like this baby’s very sad and tragic death was really more a failure on the part of attending nurses and physicians, combined with the bad luck of being a premature baby who was exposed to a nasty bug. I know I will upset many people by saying this, but I think lay people posting medical opinions about cases they heard of second hand and then blaming vaccinations (which by the way save many more lives than those they supposedly harm) is irresponsible. If you aren’t a doctor, you really can’t say what happened to this poor baby. You can only scare other people into making the very risky and harmful decision not to vaccinate based on hearsay instead of true medical evidence.

Well, you know, there are folks who deny the Holocaust happened too despite all the evidence (gas chambers, interviewing people who were there, service men who freed the captives etc). Some folks will never be convinced about matters of critical importance no matter what the evidence that is presented.

I don’t write these types of posts for those who will never be convinced and who will foolishly continue to vax their children. I write it for the parents who can the see the reality and who will take action before their children are harmed or worse.

I am the parent of a 3 year old who was born at home, nursed until 18 months, and has only had one vaccination. But I am appalled at the way you are responding to people who are honestly trying to critique the merits of your argument.

Comparing people who support vaccinations to people who deny the holocaust happened is horrible, irresponsible, extremist rhetoric. You aren’t helping your case and you’re truly demeaning yourself.

Saying that pediatricians are shills for the Pharma industry is also petty and unhelpful. These are people who have dedicated their lives to helping children. Stories like this may anger you, but let’s tone down the hysterics and remember that the great majority of doctors are well-meaning human beings who are doing their best.

The Anti-Vaccine movement is supposed to be about parents being more informed, caring, and thoughtful. Your comments are none of those things.

      • Sarah – stand tall! We’re with you. My husband and I “compromised” and I vaccinated my kids at age 3 starting with DT. I had to order it special from England to leave out the P AND I couldn’t find one that separated D and T. (Diptheria, Tetnus, Pertusses). Within a week of the vaccine my 3 year old who had LOVED shrimp his whole life had a severe reaction to it. I found out that the vax, for which I had the batch number, contained fish oil. Whenever one puts a protein directly into the bloodstream where it cannot be broken down by digestive juices, the body creates antibodies which increase with each interaction with said protein. This ONE vaccine means a lifetime of doing without a favorite healthy food (used to BEG for coconut shrimp) and reading labels and not eating fries in a fish restaurant. Needless to say, we stopped all further vaccines.

    • There are now more doctors and medical scientists now questioning the effectiveness of vaccines. In fact there was a news article this week about the ineffectiveness of Tamiflu vaccine. Please google Tamiflu and vaccines for more information. Yes, just because B followed A doesn’t mean A caused B. But you can’t say with a 100% certainty that A didn’t cause B. No one knows at this point and even if the doctors thought there might be a connection between the vaccines and Stacy’s death, they will never admit it due to the fear of a lawsuit. Would you? So your statement about only a doctor can really SAY what happened to Stacy is indeed wrong. Doctors will rarely admit to a mistake. I hope Stacy’s death scare parents into looking at the benefits AND risks of OVER vaccinating their kids. Like you, I want only want the best for our children.

        • Trevor, you are correct that Tamiflu is not a vaccine but my point is that not all vaccines and medication have been tested for safety and effectiveness. Many of these drugs are rushed through the approval process for profit reasons only. Furthermore, if you read my other comments, you would know I am not an anti-vaxxer. I am just appalled at the quantity and types of vaccines forced onto newborns (many are vaccinated within days of their birth). What’s the rush? Why not start the vaccination at a year old? And if the infant or child is sick then it should be postponed until the baby/child is completely well. What’s the problem with that? Furthermore, no vaccines should be administered to a child without a parent’s permission. If you want to vaccinate your kids, then I say “go for it” but the pro-vaxxers can’t handle the parents who do not want to vaccinate their kids.

Everyone has always known that Tamiflu is not very effective, and even then is only effective if given very early in the course of the illness.

But the only other choice we have is nothing-which increases the risk of death.

You do know that the flu is one of the biggest causes of death in the world, don’t you? And you think that nothing at all is a better choice?

    • Do you accept that Vaccines cause any harm? Because if you don’t, you have more faith in them than the Manufacturers, the CDC & the Gov. When it is your child, it doesn’t matter @ all that the numbers work out on a population level.

  19. There are a lot of unfortunate factors that lead to Stacy’s death. The very fact there is a family history of SIDS and allergies put these two babies at risk. The blame cannot soley rest on “white coats”. It’s easy to make statements as it is unclear “whether the doctor even bothered to ask about this”. The parents had a responsibility in their daughters care to disclose this sort of family history.

I am a soon to be “white coat”. One of the major points being made in school is advocacy for the patient, both by the medical professional and the patient her/himself. I am obligated to give the best care I can, part of that is through treatment and part of that is through education. Ultimately, my future patients have the final say in their care.

Like those commenting above, I wrestled with the vaccination question for my two daughters. I armed myself with information and made the best decision I could for MY girls. Concluding your article, with “vaccinations kill babies” is a disservice to your readers and to parents. Every parent has to make this decision for themselves and deserves better info than scare tactics.

      • Trevor, relax. Not all kids will have reactions to vaccines, obviously. Some will immediately, and some will later on in life. However, if even one child is lost, especially due to something so preventable, it’s a tragedy. I’m wondering if you have any kids yourself, or if you’re a doctor.

Karly, my only son also just turned 2.5. He’s up to date with all his vaccines (except for chicken pox). My son, thank God, turned out fine as well. He’s smart, with normal activity levels and development. He did get a fever after one vaccine (I think MMR?), but other than that, he had no reaction. I have been careful about what goes into his body (food, FCLO, etc) and I think that helped keep him healthy so far. But, I refuse to pump any more toxic chemicals into him – I think it’s unnecessary to vaccinate if you’re a healthy, normal human being with a strong immune system. And, I firmly believe that injecting so many different vaccines in such a short time span is especially harmful. How can their small bodies handle that? My kid’s pediatrician would have a heart attack and try to get me arrested if she found out I’m not continuing to vaccinate him, but I really believe that, if the body is healthy enough, it can fight off illnesses. Even if you’re not vaccinated for them. There’s enough dangerous stuff out there. I am now drawing the line at vaccines. I have serious guilt issues when I think about all the chemicals I let them inject into his tiny body. Ugh. I’ve also started to take him to my family ND instead of his pediatrician, who is open to the No-vax idea.

      • @Trevor….Really, what does the integrity of scientists got to do with vaccines? These scientists are highly paid employees. Many of them owe stocks in the very company they work for. What about the integrity of doctors and nurses who administers these shots when 50% or more of nurses in many hospitals refuses to take the annual flu shots. Some counties and states are trying to pass laws that requires ALL healthcare employees to be vaccinated now. I say vaccinate the scientists, CEO’s of Big Pharmas and hospitals, doctors, Regulators at FDA & CDC and their families first. This is perhaps the only way we will get SAFE and EFFECTIVE vaccines. Then we could talk about integrity.

That is a correct statement but not all parents are aware of this or even have the presence of mind to think of all the relevant info to give to the doctors. It is the doctors’ job to make sure they ask the right questions and get right answers. Surely, if the doctors have asked about the past medical history don’t you think the parents would have provided those answers? When I donate blood the medical technicians at the blood bank have several pages of questions for me. Really, who is the expert here? The doctors or the parents? Just knowing that this baby was vaccinated for 10 different illnesses at one visit should have alarm the doctors, don’t you think? Really, who is the expert here? The highly educated and trained doctors/nurses or the parents who should have spent their evenings reading up on all the medical literature before bringing their babies in for medical care? Yes, many vaccinated babies are alive but this does not mean no babies were killed or harmed by vaccines. Any babies with a compromised immune system should at least avoid being vaccinated until it is well. However, the parent was assured by the highly educated and trained Expert (the doctor) that the vaccines were safe for Stacy. And what is wrong with doing single dose vaccines and spreading out vaccination? Will a White Coat please address that?

The death of this little baby is horrible and may have been prevented if she did not get all those vaccines in one day. I don’t know that, and parents should be informed and make decisions they are comfortable but when you chose not to vaccinate your child you are putting other children at risk as well. Have you ever had a child get chicken pox everywhere including inside her ears and down her throat? Yes, it’s not life threatening but its painful and awful and not necessary. Would you like polio to once again be a threat?

She was very healthy growing up. BUT, EVERY time I would baby sit my niece and nephew after they got their shots, our baby would get sick. She had just about every childhood disease that they had been inoculated against! They were the carriers and our little one would catch it from them. Measles, mumps, chicken pox (TWICE!!). #1 Why do the people who don’t like what you post, read or even comment, multiple times?
Very strange waste of their time.
    Frankly speaking.
#2 What advice do you give those of us whohave children and have vaccinated but would not have done so, if they were to start over?
Is there a “counter balance” to any of it?
I have 4 children ranging in age from 21 to 3.
My oldest had all of the reuired vaccinations.
    My next had most.
    My third had a few.
And my last one, had one series. Which I did after caving into the guilt and pressure at the ped’s office.
I was still trying to decide and wade through all of the conflicting info at the time. But, our daughter was in Africa at the time, on a mission trip, and our doctor impressed upon me that for the safety of my new baby. I should be worried that my daughter would bring “something” back and pass it on to my new little guy.
    I did the shots.
    I felt terrible.
    I have decided for us.
    No more.
I am sure that other cautious and compassionate mothers reading this will know and understand what I am saying here.
We will not do any more vacs to our present or future children.
    Based on our research.
I appreciate reading all views on topics such as this.
But…. Would love some advice, if any, to help relieve any toxins, if possible from the previous vaccines.
Thank you so much for your time, Sara.

The death is of COURSE tragic and my heart goes out to the family, I just hope we don’t use this as a reason to berate ALL doctors and hospitals, because the kind of care and advice they receive will vary from place to place. Had this been in the US (or they lived in a big city, or had different insurance, or any of a thousand different variables) perhaps the outcome would have been different. THAT’S my takeaway from all of this – that a better standard of care needs to be enforced for all patients.

    • Stacey had a cold so her immune system at the time of the vaccination was compromised. The article did not state if the other twin was sick or not. I assume she was not sick. One of the problems with vaccines is the “one size fits all” model. Doctors vaccinate each infant/child without factoring in the age, size, physical condition, length of time from the last vaccination, etc. of each individual child. Now more doctors will not vaccinate a healthy child who has an autistic sibling for fear of a negative reaction due to some genetic predisposition. People with autoimmune illnesses should never be vaccinated. Their immune system is compromised and at risk for more harm than good from the vaccination.

    • Depends where you live./Almost every state will allow you to claim exemption on religious or other grounds, though some states allow only religious exemptions. If you file the proper paperwork, depending on the law of your state, the school will have to let your child attend, even without vaccinations. Pediatricians routinely misinform parents about this, never pointing out the exemption procedures available in most states.

  40. If you have not had experience with premature babies, then you are unaware of how vulnerable these babies are… just to stay alive is a struggle. THe medical profession uses “fear” tactics to promote vaccination…. this is a personal choice and should be based on intelligent thinking and information, not hysteria. I would hope that more and more parents become thinking people and not rush into this volatile field of vaccination…
I can attest that most western doctors (who now work perhaps 3 days a week) are unable to be informed as well as they should, plus there is a stubborn mind-set (tunnel vision) when it comes to holistic health and nutrition…. I would suggest everyone read “BLUE ZONES”
discover the pockets of health on planet earth where people are not subjected to all
this rigamarole ! The ability to think and use common sense has been lost…

    • Thank you for the suggested read! I also recommend “Nutrition and physical degeneration” in which indigineous peoples who had little to no contact with the “civilized” are studied against the same indigineous peoples who ARE in contact with the “civilized”. Yes, the people who do not partake of civilized society not only are healthier but also do not get diseases that are common at that time amongst the “civilized” such as TB and dental carries. While the book focuses on processed bread and sugar as the culprit for the declining health in those peoples who are civilized, I would venture to ADD that vaccines were likely available to the civilized culture which also contributed to the deteriorating health of these people (something that wasn’t considered in the book from what I’ve read thus far).

  41. Hi Sara ,

It was so brave of you to blog on this topic.I am sure it would have helped a lot of people who are still deciding on whether to vaccinate or not.I have made my decision not to vaccinate my children. We are planning for a kid in the next six months..

It really saddens me when people cant comprehend the information which is placed before them.It is so very rude to say that unvaccinated children will compromise the immunity of the herd. What about the children who die.Who will speak for them.We are not primitive people to say that sacrificing a child for the herd is good.It is so rude.Unless we experience a personal loss we can keep commenting about a life of a baby like a life less object

All the studies which the medical industry refers to are funded by the so called BIG Pharma. So naturally they will not fund a study which will not give them profit. All this will end only when we the people interfere and say no to the vaccinations. The doctors also dont keep themselves updated enough. They just rely on what was taught in the med school. Why not sit with the parent and explain what are the ingredients in the vaccination and also explain what are the possible side effects a child can face if the immune system of the child is over reactive.why cant they better inform the parents without trying to push it on them and scare them just for the profit of big pharma

In my home country we dont vaccinate for flu.We get flu in the flu season and turn our to be okay.I got chicken pox vaccination but still got chicken pox when i was 6 but still turned out to be okay.I dont remember getting more than 5 or six vaccinations that too were given over a period of 3 yrs.I dont understand the need to vaccinate a new born in the hospital for HEP B.Even today my nieces and nephews who are born in my home country are not vaccinated for hep B in the hospital.I feel there are lots of unnecessary vaccinations in US.Please say non to this non sense .

“Life and Death are placed in front of you.Choose Life ”

A kind request from me.Can you please also blog what are the steps an expecting parent should take to avoid vaccinations.I have read that even though u tell them verbally , some nurses vaccinate the new borns.I am really worried how i am going to stop them from doing so especially when they take the baby away for sometime. Can always the dad demand to keep the baby within his sight if the baby is taken away from me after delivery ? and also please write about how to give exemptions in school and else where . Can a roman catholic give exemption to vaccinations based on religious belief ? If so can i deny only vaccines which contain aborted fetal tissue or am i allowed to deny all vaccinations even if they dont have the aborted fetal tissue. Please give some information on how to execute the decision of not to vaccinate practically in this world where everyone seems to think other wise and try to black mail / push us for it… And also how to take precautions , so that no one vaccinates the children by mistake even after we giving the written exemptions.Lastly please suggest some books on this topic so that i can also prepare my husband for this decision of mine

    Thanks for your time

  42. Susana, I suggest you visit the website of the National Vaccine Information Center.

They have a huge amount of information there, including information on the vaccine exemption laws of every state, and they may be able to provide detailed answers to your questions.

You may also wish to consider having a home birth, which gives you much more control over what happens than a hospital. There are doctors who will deliver babies at home, and some who specialize in in. It is very hard to control the process in a hospital., and hospitals today are hardwired to give the Hep B shot at birth.

Person dies after receiving dozens of vaccinations!

This week a young man died in a fatal car accident, but the true cause of death is being covered up by the evil corporations! What you won’t hear in the news coverage is that this young man received DOZENS of vaccinations only SEVERAL WEEKS before his ALLEGED drunk driving offense! Clearly big pharma doesn’t want you to know the truth…if you’ve EVER received a vaccination and become ill in any way, remember that vaccinations are at fault! Those who tell you that millions of lives have been saved and diseases nearly eradicated across the world just want your money!!

By the way, you would think ONE OF THEM would have the humanity to have a change of heart on vaccinations. Does anybody know a doctor out there that this has happened to?

I mean, if we lay people are realizing something is amiss – why can’t a DOCTOR? How
can they stastically be ALL indoctrinated to this point???

      • Yes. That is a very good observation, Helen. I would have thought doctors would have realized a problem and stepped forward by now. Maybe they have but we’re not looking in the right places. Let’s find a doctor that has given vaccinations and had their patients develop sicknesses or die shortly after. That really is a good idea.

I’d like to see a series of interviews with doctors, or reformed doctors, on this matter. I doubt it would be on the nightly news anytime soon because it is currently part of the agenda to depopulate the planet with vaccinations. This was stated in white papers by multiple globalist organizations and in conference by Bill Gates. I bet we could get Mercola, Mike Adams, Jesse Ventura, or Alex Jones to attract doctors that wish to step forward. They’ve got the nerve to ask the tough questions and they’re waking a lot of people up on matters like these.

      • They are used to seeing sick kids so they would have to purposefully look at their non vaccinated against their vaccinated to notice any difference in health and then after many times over seeing the difference, come up with a theory which is still just a theory (and COMPLETLY against the grain of not only society but their entire education which says there is a pill for every ill. However, some doctors of course have noticed this. One I am aware of is Dr. Mendelsohn who wrote “How to Raise a Healthy Child In spite of your Doctor.” Another is Dr. Tenpenny. There are others but unfortunately many get labeled as quacks and ruin their carreers which is a risk many probably aren’t willing to take and would just assume not know and remain ignorant.

    Inject Children or Lose Money
    http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/more-news/inject-children-or-lose-money/story-fn7x8me2-1226205382138

Under the current maternity immunisation allowance scheme introduced in 1997, parents receive two one-off payments totalling $258 if they complete the vaccination schedule. This will be scrapped under the new system and replaced with three payments of $726 each, paid at one, three and five years. If kids are not fully vaccinated, then the $2100 will be withheld.

As a 26 year old woman who is looking forward to having children in the next few years, everything about this article just makes me so sad :(

  47. In the US, babies are never given 9 in one day. This baby was a late preterm baby and most likely did not have a vaccine reaction a week later. She had sepsis and fever, unrelated to the shots, and died because of poor care in the hospital, lack of proper antibiotics, etc. The parents should have gone right to the ER with a temp that high in an 8 week old. People are so quick to blame vaccines when reactions are really quite rare.

  48. We firmly believe that the increase numbers of vaccinations giving to young children is solely responsible for the increase in autism rates. After my son’s 2-year old shots, he lost all speech and fine motor control and was later diagnosed with PDD (a mild form of autism). Before the shots, he was developing normally. Always check into anything the doctors want to do… research is the key!

Thank you for the reminder to not feel the SLIGHTEST bit guilty for being an educated parent who blows off all the eye rolls and questioning looks when people find out I refuse almost all vaccinations for my children. For dealing with the full court press every time I bring them into the doctor. I ams o sorry for these parents loss.

    • I can’t believe you have to go through such justifications, but you are so WISE and congratulate yourself for that and thus saving your children!

My niece has an adorable one year old. They’re giving him the vaccinations…..but spacing them out. But they’re intending to give him ALL of them. Already he’s had a little fever with one set…..and his grandmother (my sister) has confided in me she thinks he’s not as alert as others his age. BUT – I can’t bring up any mention of not vaccinating or it becomes a scene – they conclude it by saying: how would YOU know anything
more than a doctor! Plus any info found on the net is ‘dangerous’……

  50. Hi Sarah-
I took my girls to the pediatrician for their well-child visits TODAY. We have been at a practice that you are familiar with, but that I will not name publicly, ever since the day they were born. We have had them vaccinated up to now (they are 10 and 12 years-old). But since reading a lot about this issue I’ve decided that the risk of injury from vaccination is larger than the risk of injury from contracting these diseases.
I had heard that this particular practice would not treat children whose parents refused vaccinations so I was ready to walk out when the time came (and then call you for a new doc recommendation!). When I was asked about vaccinations I told the doc, “no thank you.” She said, “That’s fine. I need you to sign a waiver to cover my liability, should they ever get sick with one of these diseases.” I signed the form.
And that was that. No shots, no hassle. Praise God!
By the way, I’ve only had the flu shot once in my adult life. I’ve also only had the flu once in my adult life. Guess what? (I bet you know what’s coming…) I came down with the flu (full-on, 7 days of absolute misery) shortly after receiving the flu shot.
I LOVE the controversy in the posts. We all need to see the whole issue before we decide for ourselves. You have prompted many to read the research and take a stand either way. After that, we are responsible for our own actions.
Blessings, Sarah. And thanks again for being willing to rock that mainstream boat!

Too many people rely on their doctors as infallible professionals who are incapable of doing wrong. Vaccines have proven time and again to be unsafe but far too many flock to get their children’s shots. I did as well but it was long before I knew of the dangers.

I’m glad that consumer awareness is surging and people refuse to believe everything they hear! Great post!!

  53. I’m very sorry for what happened to Stacy and her family. I no longer doubt that these 5 at once or more shots are risky for a considerable number of children.

My grandson, last month, on his 1st birthday, 9 months old if taking into account his prem birth at 29 weeks to my shoock and horror had 5 shots at once. Needless to say he was hospitalised twice, initially thinking asthma and and virus , then revised to not coping with a temp and finally doctors admitting that 5 shots could haveprecipitated all this vulnerability of recent times.. He’s mostly recovered, but more sensitive to colds, has had ongoing raised temperatures of late with funny wheezy sounds at times. His parents think in future they’ll try and keep shots to one at a time, even if they pay privately for those more where they can. Short term he was sick and even needed oxygen for a bit.

My cats vet who is extremely pro vaccinations takes more care with my cats. He’ll never vaccinate a cat with any level of even mild recovery from any condition that has taxed them at all, even knowing I may not return that soon.Actually all the vets do the same.

Thirty years ago they wouldn’t vaccinate a slightly sniffly baby with just one shot. It’s common knowledge that some vaccines cause a day of a raised temp and not being to good for over a day after.

I do not believe vaccines are lethal or damaging, aside from exceptions when single or at most two of the more innocuous combined in one shot older types are used in a child that’s well at the time. Most of the developed countries aren’t in a war torn third world setting where a vaccination station gets one chance to cover as much as it can in one hit taking the logic if those kids miss one of the many shots now the’ll die from what wasn’t given before the next opportunity to vaccinate so the death from multiple shots risk is justifiable.

The medical professions defence of vaccinations are based from the data of past when only one or two items at a time were given, and not when babies are unwell.Past problems mostly occured to the wider use of egg products that are less prevalent now. This is crazy progress(?) from thirty years ago.

I hope people with infants don’t quit on vaccinations or oppose them, but demand more information of risks involved with various types, actual current effectiveness and persons more at risk from reactions of some types. Plus demand the spacing of shots and a procedure of a through checklist of questions regarding the baby’s fitness or suitability to have that shot then.

Vaccines do save lives and prevent disease caused damage to children if administered with the care, at least that of practising vets.
