I posted about water kefir grains — how to store them, maintain them, and buy them so you’ll always have great water kefir at home.

Hi Sarah!
Thanks for hosting. It’s been a busy summer but I’m finally back to blogging again. We have relocated to the Yosemite area and we are in the middle of setting up our consultancy. It has been a lot of swimming in pools this summer and my daughter’s hair turned green and we dealt with it naturally. I am not happy about chlorinated pools and I normally try to limit our exposure to them..

This week I am sharing a recipe for a raw vegetable salsa made with Vidalia onions. Besides Vidalia onions, the healthy benefits of cilantro and other raw vegetables are in this salsa.

What a fabulous blog – I shared a vegan style ‘quiche’. Sounds strange, tastes AMAZING! Key ingredients: Tofu and Butter beans – Tasty AND nutritious!

While this post isn’t a recipe for any food — I would urge you to read it — our right to choose the types of food we wish to have in our homes is, increasingly, at stake. We, as consumers, need to vote with our dollars and time AND we need to be ready to get out of our kitchen and into the heat of the fire of politics. Our futures – and those of our children’s – might be at stake if we don’t let our elected officials and governing bodies know that we are participating members in our communities and that we want them to work to insure our freedoms. Thanks for reading and as always, thanks Sarah for doing this AND all your other work like bringing FARMAGEDDON to the Roosevelt here in Tampa! Great work!

Thanks for hosting Sarah. I am sharing my recipe for warm lemony navy beans with roasted beets and minted yogurt. It’s perfect for when you feel like a substantial meal but are tired of salad and it’s too hot to eat anything else. A compromise of sorts.

Thanks for the opportunity to share! I have found that our tomato/spaghetti sauce is even better when the produce is finally coming out of our garden. Whether it’s psychological or not, it sure is tasty. :) So that is what I am sharing.

This site is a gold mine. Thanks to all for making it so fun!
A friend just asked for the salve recipe so that is what I posted, but there are a few others below that. Some basics like almond milk (we are looking for an Alpine goat), some grain free cookies and home made yogurt.
Thanks for hosting this great venue!

I’ve been searching for allergy-free recipes for my three sons (who between them have dozens of different food allergies) and have been thrilled to find that there IS life after throwing away all my old cookbooks! My post today is a tortilla soup that we just love … the spicy tomato base is sprinkled with lime juice and topped with avocado and homemade toasted tortilla strips.
