Hi Sarah,
I’m fascinated by the way some diseases simply disappear when you start eating right. I linked to a post about an article that tells the story of how a young writer cured himself from very severe mental illness. It wasn’t even that difficult to make the change, but what results!

Hey everyone! There’s been a fair bit of traffic through Sarah’s site about dental health and the effects of FCLO – I love the dialogue and thought that I could add this little bit about how we can advance our dental and overall health with these simple habits. Thanks for sharing and as always, I look forward to the learning! Be well.

I posted a recipe for an easy seasonal stir fry. It’s colorful, delicious, and nutritious… not to mention sustainable.

Oh, and I posted a recipe for “cheezy” vegan kale chips. I was getting addicted to the expensive ones at the health food store that were like $7 for a few oz. You can make this recipe for the cost of a bunch of kale, a cup of raw cashews, and the spices you already have in your spice rack. A seasonal, sustainable, healthy snack!

Hi Sarah, my post today is about more ways to stretch your food dollars and supporting local farms: buying from farmer’s markets, food stands, and flea market vendors.

I’ve shared a link to a food preservation spreadsheet (a great way to keep track of how much preserved food there is and how much gets used each month). I’ve also linked to my new favorite soup: Cheesy Beef and Vegetable Soup!

I posted my first link here and accidentally did it under my own name instead of the post name. Oops! The post is called “Jars, Jars Everywhere!” and is about all of the different items I make and store in glass jars.

This looks like a good week. Just looking through the list I see several things I am going to visit! Thanks for hosting, Sarah! This weekend I made fresh butter and butter from store bought UHP cream to show the difference. The post I linked to is not about nutrition, this week it is just about flavor, texture and quality.

People often ask me how I get my vegetables clean – I do believe that healthy organic dirt is nothing to be afraid of but when cleaning veggies, don’t buy those sprays from the health food store, make your own!

Looking forward to reading others posts!

I’m not sure how to “report” a post but #19 has cool whip and a box of pudding in it. Clearly not a REAL FOOD recipe.

Starting to get a lot of non real food stuff in here again. From the first column the blueberry pie calls for Cool Whip and Instant pudding. The bacon avocado melt calls for artificial bacon! Haven’t looked any further

Hopefully chicken broth and whole wheat pearled couscous are okay – everything else in this meal was straight from the Boulder Farmers’ Market!
