I hope you had a great long weekend. Thank you for hosting. I’m posting a recipe for a Polenta Syrup cake I’ve been working on. For the flour component we used stone ground organic spelt , ground almonds and cornmeal and for the sweetener we used honey. I am trying to reduce all refined sugars from our baking ( since my husband loves his sweets!) but it’s definitely a process of trial and error. Unfortunately the syrup still contains 1/3 cup of brown sugar, but a drastic improvement from the original recipe. It is sooo delicious. I look forward to checking out everyone’s posts!

Have you ever tried coconut palm sugar? The flavor is very similar to brown sugar, but it has a much lower glycemic impact. I love it and use it in place of white and brown sugar all the time.

Hi Sarah –

I left a link for how I make a meatza. They are quick to make- only about 20 minutes, provide a lot of food, are nutritious, and safe for people that don’t eat grains.

Hi Sara,
I just discovered your site a couple of days ago, and I have to say how blown away I am at the wealth of information you present. I LOVE your videos, and I think I may be close to watching them all! I am just getting started on my Traditional Cooking journey and have much to learn. One thing I don’t know how to do correctly is get the food into my hubby. It’s not that he doesn’t want to eat traditionally; he’s been on-board 100% with all our other food changes. How do you make sure your husband gets nutritional food at work? I don’t mind packing a lunch for my husband everyday, but he only has access to a microwave…thus zapping any nutrients I worked so hard at getting into his food. I’m assuming your husband works a full day as well, so I was wondering how you fill his belly with good food, even when away from home. Thank you so much, and God bless you!
