Thanks for hosting. This post started out of a real life experience which demonstrated why real food satisfies our hunger, and factory food makes us eat too much, which is also described in the post.
Thanks again for teaching me about cilantro, Sarah. We eat some cilantro condiment every day now, and it is part of the real food described in this post.

I love your Monday carnival! Just posted Low Calorie, Quick and Delish, Coq au Vin. This is a wonderful low calorie and low fat version of the French classic. My version uses white wine instead of red wine, which creates a lighter tasting sauce and is cooked on the stove top instead of the oven. The skinny on one serving is 234 calories, 3 grams of fat and 5 Weight Watchers POINTS PLUS. A regular recipe has 572 calories and 30 grams of fat.

I don’t know about you, but salads sometimes can get redundant. So, I came up with 4 other ways I love to get my greens in, besides salad! Hope this inspires you all to get more “greens” into your families!

The more our family eats real foods in a nourishing and traditional way, the more I realize that I definitely need to be teaching these kitchen skills to my children, even at a young age, so they will at least have a choice to not eat processed foods when they are grown. Using Sharp Knives touches on one kitchen skill for kids, while a couple other kitchen skills have also been discussed on Nourishing the Heart.
I look forward to your healthy linky each Monday. This week I linked a gluten free brown rice Turkish pasta casserole that is made with carrots, caramelized onion, and dried apricots.
