My post is about a tiny fruit that is excellent at displacing fluoride. Prunes are ridiculously high in boron and easy to snack on. They get a bad rap here in the United States but they are revered next to chocolate in places like France (just Google “pruneaux d’Agen” to see what I mean).

I am making my raw ranch dip to put out with veggies for everyone to enjoy so we can fill-up on good food before the kids go out. If you have a party tonight, consider bringing this dip!

Fiber Rich Chicken, Barley and Butternut Squash Soup
It’s officially fall and there’s something quite special about a big pot of soup cooking on the stove top. What I adore about this flavorful chicken soup is that it’s not only delicious, it’s so healthy. The barley adds an amazing amount of fiber along with the squash and the carrots, squash, celery and onions are loaded with vitamins. The skinny for 1 cup is 142 calories, 1 gram of fat, 5 grams of fiber and 3 Weight Watchers POINTS PLUS. It’s so hearty you can serve this as main course soup. http://www.skinnykitchen.com/recipes/fiber-rich-chicken-barley-and-butternut-squash-soup/

This soup looks pretty tasty, but have you thought about using homemade broth instead of store bought? You really up the nutritional value by using homemade. And also using a pastured bird instead of boneless, skinless breast meat? I know you’re going for the skinny angle, but adding alittle more fat really helps with mineral absorption and helps your body in fighting off pathogens that seem to be more prevalent this time of year.
